We're Back! Mini Pete and Pals...August in a Flash!



Hi,
I am mini Pete (the handsome yellow lab)
I am Tiger ( the one with the black stripes)
I am Charlie ( the lovable German Shepherd)

We all travel with Kimia, in her little purse.  We've been to Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Guatemala.  Do you know where all those countries are?  You should find a globe or map and take a look.  Together we have been in four countries. Mini Pete, however,  started his adventures way before us, his travels include, the Philippines, Mexico, and Israel.  We came together as a team just this year and we have enjoyed our time.  

 It's been quite awhile, since we, the threesome have made an appearance.  Kimia often forgets us when she goes out, and therefore we miss many adventures, or she takes us and forgets we are with her and other times we actually make an appearance.  We all went to Guatemala in August for her visa renewal.  It was very relaxing and fun.  Just what Kimia needed before classes began again.

 Guatemala City is the capital of Guatemala now.  However it didn't always use to be that way...

While in Guate, we all were able to visit Antigua, thanks to our friends who took us.  It was a wonderful day! Are you ready?  We sure are!  Let's go explore!

Let's step back into some history...Antigua is a beautiful city with great architecture with a Spanish Baroque influence.   We all loved to look at the buildings and the details, just beautiful.  This city is in the central highlands of Guatemala.  Now, Kimia had to look this up, but Antigua was the capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala.  What is the Kingdom of Guatemala? The Kingdom of Guatemala included what we know as Honduras, El Salvador, the Mexican state Chiapas, Nicaragua, Belize and Guatemala, known as the Spanish Empire in Central America.  Antigua was the third capital.   On September 15th, all of these countries we know declared independence from Spain.

When exploring, it's always good to look up.
Never know what you might miss out on.

His Love Will Never Fail!

Enjoying a girls afternoon! Dear Friends, One year ago, this month, I left the states to be a missionary, a desire the Lord put in my heart a long time ago.  I left for Colombia, South America and a short time later, I moved to Costa Rica to study Spanish.  Living in Costa Rica is amazing.  From the sunny days and cool evenings to the people I meet and have the opportunity to pray with and share Christ with, I couldn't ask for anything better. The adventures of Mini-Pete and Pals!

Exploring, climbing, hiding, is what we, Mini-Pete, Charlie and Tiger enjoy doing.  We've had some great adventures...Before we begin...let me officially introduce ourselves. The yellow lab- that is me Mini-Pete,  Tiger is in the middle and Charlie is the German Shepherd The journey of Mini-Pete just began with me, years ago traveling by myself.  However a year ago, I was told you need a friend to travel with, so Charlie came on board.  Charlie and I both came from the same home- so it was nice to catch up after several years and it was very kind of Shelly to give us both to Kimia.   This is Kimia-an adventurous, fun and loving person. The fact that she takes two little dogs and tiger with her about every where she goes..tell you that she is young at heart .
