December in a flash... This month has been wonderful.  I have found myself surrounded by people I love almost on a daily basis.  I have been so blessed and I am so blessed and continue to be blessed!  When I look back over the 10 years I have been in Maryland (I never thought I'd be here this long), and I am so glad God kept me here.  Over the years, God has provided such great families for me to be a part of, and  honestly I feel as if I have one huge family, and if I wanted to have everyone over, there wouldn't be enough room, a good problem to have.   This month also has been a month of reflection and cherishing the time I have with friends.  The time is getting closer for me to head out to Colombia, South America.   December began with Caroling, not once but twice a couple weeks a part.  There was no snow on the ground and the first night wasn't even cold. We sure had fun singing and bringing the Good News of Jesus to those around us through music.  The next

For Unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ~ Isaiah 9:6 Away in a manger   Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay, The little Lord Jesus asleep in the hay. The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes. I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh. Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay Close by me forever, and love me, I pray. Bless all the dear children in thy tender care, And take us to heaven, to live with Thee there. Today, isn't about the gifts we receive, even thought it is nice.  Today is really about the true gift, the most precious gift...JESUS! Jesus came to us as a little babe,

It's crazy to think, I am 33 years old.  I really don't feel thirty three, and according to several friends, I don't look it either.  It's the fun, spunkiness that keeps me young.  I remember as a child I would think that time was so slow.  It took forever for another Birthday to come, it took forever for the school bell to ring, and when it was time to play, snap, time was up.  It was as if time was always slow with things you didn't want to do, but sped up really fast with the things you wanted to do...ever remember feeling that way? Now, time just flies by.  I feel as if in a blink of an eye the year has already flown by, and in my eyes...time needs to slow down... Slowing down...what does that mean?  For me it's taking time to look at God's beauty around me, finding time to rest in Him, thinking about all the blessings the Lord has given me, and the people who He has placed in my life who mean so much to me.  It is taking time in my day to enjoy the

With a splitting headache and ready to be home after a long travel day,  I waited patiently for my turn to get off the plane.   As I waited, a lady in front of me gets up and starts talking to me.  She says, “I hear you are going to Colombia, South America.”   A little confused on how she knew, I answered, “ I sure am.” We chatted all the way to baggage claim.  It was a great time.  Before I left, I handed her a brochure, mentioning she could email me and I would love to have her on my mailing list.  She looked at me, pulled out her checkbook, and wrote a check to encourage me right there.  She knew what it was like to raise support, for she had been in my position several years before heading to Colombia.   I was overjoyed.  Or what about a person I met in the DFW airport, and a few months later emails me and says, “I would like to support you.”  These are what I call God moments, something only God can do! October and November were busy and very successful months.
