Always in HIS hands!!

The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfils the desires o those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
Psalm 145:13b-19

I don't know about you, but I find great joy in reading the scriptures.  Over the past couple weeks I have really enjoyed the Psalms, the fact that there is so much depth to them and that many of them have spoken right to my heart.  The verses above, I read today.  I was sitting in El Bosque Parque reading and just soaking up all that the Lord has done in my life.

I am reminded that the Lord is faithful in all he does, and that His promises are true, and he will never forsake me.  He knows what I need at the right time and provides it.  He knows where I need to be and guides me there.   I know that He is near and He hears me when I call.    He is my life and I want to glorify Him in all I do.

The road has not been easy.  There are times that are difficult and I don't understand and ask why, and I am gently reminded that the Lord has my life all planned out and I just need to follow and be obedient to Him.

From the states to Colombia and now to Costa Rica...What I know is true is that He is my Guide, Provider, Comforter, and Refuge.  He will never leave me or forsake me...it's a promise for I am His and He is mine, living in my heart and I am so thankful for that.  Sometimes life happens and things go differently than I plan, but one thing I can hold strong to is my faith in Christ Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:2) and being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you (me) will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:6).  What a wonderful promise.

Part of His plan is to have me here in Costa Rica to learn the language.  I am very excited to be here.  I live with a Tica family, they only speak Spanish, which is great, gives me a lot of practice speaking Spanish.  I live a 15 minute walk from ILE- The Spanish Institute, there is a park a block a way which is nice, and mountains are in the distance.  I look forward to what God is going to do while I am here and of course improving my Spanish skills immensely.

Mini-Pete and Pals attended orientation also.
The top of campus has a great view of the mountains.

Aiming "up" is what we do.
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 3:14
This is where we live- Mini-Pete and Pals and I.
Such a great family!
An afternoon in the park taking time to read and journal.

Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4: 4-7

  1. May the Lord bless you, Kimia. One of my housemates is also improving her Spanish these days - I admire you both for your hard work, and I envy you your youthful quickness of mind for language learning!
