Oh! A Blizzard!

Oh dear what shall I do now that the blizzard dumped 3 ft of snow around me...


Shovel...and shovel some more...but oh, the joys of neighbors to rescue a damsel in distress...not just one but two at the same time....the dueling snowblowers....


of course sledding is a blast, even quite a work out..tramping through 2-3 feet of snow all around you...my legs are tired.
We also made snowmen...rather tall and not so plumb snowmen...

And snow dogs  Morgan (the little one) Stella (the big one)

and of course enjoyed playing in an igloo and having snowball fights....

Now I am back where I am house sitting and figured I might as well make a tunnel on the deck in the 3-4 ft of snow I have...it is a lot of work...and i didn't finish it.  The next couple days it melted and it was no more.



I also enjoyed baking monster cookies with my friend Pratty.


Now the sun is shining and the snow is melting and it's just beautiful.  Still a bit of snow on the ground and will be good for another day of sledding soon...

The snow is beautiful! blankets of white coving the ground and resting on the houses, icicles hanging from the roof, animals prints in the snow, birds chirping, oh the list could go on.  I have had my snow for the year...I am ready for spring....

Enjoying a girls afternoon! Dear Friends, One year ago, this month, I left the states to be a missionary, a desire the Lord put in my heart a long time ago.  I left for Colombia, South America and a short time later, I moved to Costa Rica to study Spanish.  Living in Costa Rica is amazing.  From the sunny days and cool evenings to the people I meet and have the opportunity to pray with and share Christ with, I couldn't ask for anything better. The adventures of Mini-Pete and Pals!

Exploring, climbing, hiding, is what we, Mini-Pete, Charlie and Tiger enjoy doing.  We've had some great adventures...Before we begin...let me officially introduce ourselves. The yellow lab- that is me Mini-Pete,  Tiger is in the middle and Charlie is the German Shepherd The journey of Mini-Pete just began with me, years ago traveling by myself.  However a year ago, I was told you need a friend to travel with, so Charlie came on board.  Charlie and I both came from the same home- so it was nice to catch up after several years and it was very kind of Shelly to give us both to Kimia.   This is Kimia-an adventurous, fun and loving person. The fact that she takes two little dogs and tiger with her about every where she goes..tell you that she is young at heart .
