Sing a New Song!


Sing  a new song to the Lord
Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!
Psalm 96:1 (NLT)

Every morning I am given the opportunity to Sing a New Song to the Lord, to rejoice and be glad in all the Lord has given.    The Lord has given me so much, the blessing of  ministry partners, prayer partners, provision, the opportunity to learn Spanish, time with my dad here in Costa Rica, opportunities to explore His creation and share the Gospel.    I Sing a New Song to the Lord because I know He is faithful, that He is all-powerful, that He is my strength, He is Love, He is joy, He is peace when the world around me is unstable, He is Sovereign over all.

I have been here in Costa Rica for 6 months learning Spanish and waiting patiently for the next steps.  I am excited to share with you that I am staying one more trimester, until April 2017. After language school in April, one year of Spanish,  I will return to Colombia, South America and start ministry.

It is a blessing to stay here in Costa Rica another six months to study Spanish.  I finally found a church I like attending. I am learning and growing in my walk with the Lord as I follow and trust Him.   Lauren Daigle, a Christian Artist, sings a song called, “ Trust in You.”  It reminds me that in all circumstances I can and need to trust in Him. 

I have no idea what ministry is going to look like, but God knows.  I have no idea what my fluency level of Spanish will be after a year, but God knows.  I have no idea what tomorrow will bring, but God does.  I am thankful for each new day that the Lord gives to me to Sing a New Song!   

Praises:  I found a church to attend.  I am staying another trimester.  I am enjoying learning, Field of ministry is Colombia

Prayer Requests: Finances for this upcoming trimester in January 2017, Colombia and the missionaries serving there and preparing to go, the process of learning Spanish and being confident in speaking

His Love Will Never Fail!

Enjoying a girls afternoon! Dear Friends, One year ago, this month, I left the states to be a missionary, a desire the Lord put in my heart a long time ago.  I left for Colombia, South America and a short time later, I moved to Costa Rica to study Spanish.  Living in Costa Rica is amazing.  From the sunny days and cool evenings to the people I meet and have the opportunity to pray with and share Christ with, I couldn't ask for anything better. The adventures of Mini-Pete and Pals!

Exploring, climbing, hiding, is what we, Mini-Pete, Charlie and Tiger enjoy doing.  We've had some great adventures...Before we begin...let me officially introduce ourselves. The yellow lab- that is me Mini-Pete,  Tiger is in the middle and Charlie is the German Shepherd The journey of Mini-Pete just began with me, years ago traveling by myself.  However a year ago, I was told you need a friend to travel with, so Charlie came on board.  Charlie and I both came from the same home- so it was nice to catch up after several years and it was very kind of Shelly to give us both to Kimia.   This is Kimia-an adventurous, fun and loving person. The fact that she takes two little dogs and tiger with her about every where she goes..tell you that she is young at heart .
