Little Blessings = Big Blessings

Ever take the time to just sit outside and listen to the sounds around you.  To look at the beauty around you.  Today I did just that.  I went to the park, sat near a tree, listened to the sounds, marvelled at God's beauty around me, read my Bible, and wrote in my journal. Have you ever thought that the wind is a blessing...it cools you off on a hot day...it spreads seeds, you can't see it, but you can hear the sound of the wrestling tree leaves, or as it howls in the night when it moves against things...the wind, a blessing in many ways. How about color...colors are an amazing gift.  Imagine a life without  orange, red, purple, pink or yellow, the different flowers, or the different shades of green on the mountain top or the grass around us...brown...it's a color not many of us think as nice, but ever take the time to look at the bark of trees, it's wonderful if you ask me, to know that God created all these colors.  Or black in the dark sky which allo...

The Deep, constant, flowing Love!

Image
"O the Deep Deep Love of Jesus vast unmeasured boundless Free" The sound of the ocean tide that roars and breaks on the shore is one of my favourite.  It's wild, never the same, some waves are huge while others are small, but it always does the same thing...crashes on the shore and gentle flows up the shore and back down. As I was sitting on the shore watching the tide, I couldn't stop thinking about of the Love of Jesus that is constant, always around me, vast, unmeasured, boundless, and free...I love watching the waves begin...they start out small and gradually grow and then it crashes on the shore, gently covering the sand and then it is pulled away and starts all over again.   I looked at those waves and saw my sin...my sin that starts small and then it grows, then when I seek forgiveness, Christ forgives me and my sin is washed clean and He covers me with His gentle love, and I begin again.. seeing my sin...repenting...and being forgiven.  He draws ...

Time to Remember

On the shore looking out at the barges waiting to pass through the Canal Time to Remember                                                                                                 July 2016 Dear Friends, It’s rather hard to believe that four months ago I left the states to pursue a dream that God put on my heart years ago, the desire to be a missionary.   It’s funny how often times I have my own plan and think one way, and then of course the Lord has other plans for me and changes everything.   Here I thought I’d be in Colombia South Amercia, yet God has me in Costa Rica learning Spanish and waiting on Him for the next steps.  Waiting on HIM…I have to be honest…I have a hard time with waitin...

The adventures of Mini-Pete and Pals!

Image
Exploring, climbing, hiding, is what we, Mini-Pete, Charlie and Tiger enjoy doing.  We've had some great adventures...Before we begin...let me officially introduce ourselves. The yellow lab- that is me Mini-Pete,  Tiger is in the middle and Charlie is the German Shepherd The journey of Mini-Pete just began with me, years ago traveling by myself.  However a year ago, I was told you need a friend to travel with, so Charlie came on board.  Charlie and I both came from the same home- so it was nice to catch up after several years and it was very kind of Shelly to give us both to Kimia.   This is Kimia-an adventurous, fun and loving person. The fact that she takes two little dogs and tiger with her about every where she goes..tell you that she is young at heart . You see, Kimia is quite adventurous and we really enjoy traveling with her.  To be honest, you never really know what your getting into until you spend a lot of time with her...Once...
